Our Story
Learn about the African Street Foundation's journey from a simple act of kindness to a transformative force for vulnerable communities across Africa.
Our Journey
The Beginning
African Street Foundation was born when our founder first encountered children living on the streets of Accra. With just a few meals and a vision, the first feeding program began.
Growing Our Impact On Communities
As word spread, volunteers joined our cause. We expanded to reach more communities and began providing educational support to children who couldn't afford school.
Official Registration
We officially registered as a non-profit organization and established partnerships with local businesses and international organizations to expand our reach.
Youth Skills Training
We launched our youth empowerment programs, providing vocational training and mentorship to help young adults build sustainable livelihoods.
Family Upliftment Projects
Recognizing that supporting entire families creates lasting change, we expanded our focus to include family-centered initiatives and community development.
Regional Expansion
We expanded our programs to neighboring countries, establishing partnerships with local organizations to reach more vulnerable communities across Africa.
Today & Beyond
Today, we continue to grow our impact, focusing on sustainable solutions that empower individuals and communities to build better futures for themselves.

Bismark Botchway
Founder & Executive Director
In 2018, Bismark Botchway was walking through the streets of Accra when he encountered a group of children who hadn't eaten in days. This chance meeting changed the course of his life and set him on a mission to make a difference.
Growing up in a modest household himself, Bismark understood the challenges faced by vulnerable communities. With a background in social work and community development, he decided to use his skills and knowledge to create sustainable solutions.
What began as providing meals to a few children quickly grew as Bismark saw the depth of need in the community. He rallied friends, family, and colleagues to support his vision, and the African Street Foundation was born.
"Every child deserves a chance to learn, grow, and thrive," says Bismark. "Our work is about more than just providing immediate relief—it's about creating pathways to self-sufficiency and dignity."
Today, Bismark leads the foundation with unwavering commitment, continuing to develop innovative programs that address the root causes of poverty and vulnerability in African communities.
